How the status is worked out

Due date = last calibration date plus the interval in whole months; when the target month is shorter, the due date is its last day (31 January + 1 month = 28 or 29 February), the same as Excel's EDATE. OVERDUE when the due date is before today, DUE SOON when it is today or within the next 30 days, OK otherwise. These are the same rules as the Calibration Log sheet in the paid workbook.

What interval to use

This tool does not set the interval. Use the one from your quality system, the calibration certificate or the instrument maker. Before relying on a test result, check that the instrument was in calibration on the test date, and record the equipment, serial and calibration due date in the report header. The free pull-test record sheet has fields for all three.
